Kerygma's programs have made such a difference in the congregations I have served in MA, WI, RI. I value how it helps persons from all theological perspectives to learn together and dialogue. I feel a sense of connection after having spent a number of years leading the Kerygma Introductory Workshops around the country with Frank Bates and Barbara Minges. Rev. David P. Proctor, Interim Pastor, Four Corners Community Chapel, United Church of Christ, Cumberland, RI d.proctor@cox.net

We have studied Kerygma in our Wednesday night program the last 2 years. This season we plan to study " the Bible in Depth" we are all looking forward to it. This is an exciting way to study the Bible. Dan Hoffman First Reformed Demotte In

We are on Lesson 28 of Discovering the Bible. It has been a wonderful course for our church. We teach the same lesson twice a week; Wednesday evening and Thursday morning. We have 28 in the classes. I especially appreciate John Drane's book. Discovery 27, The Church, is a very good lesson. I ended the lesson by sharing Chapter III of the Presbyterian Book of Order, "The Church and It's Mission"--a good combination! Thank you for all the work and good scholarship that goes into Kerygma. Some of the folks in our class have been in the church for years and knew very little about the Bible before beginning the class. They have made some wonderful discoveries in this course. Blessings, Rev. Esther Smith

It has been many years since I participated in the Kerygma Bible Studies Program. I am interested in what you now have available for the Roman Catholic? Thank you.

Our class just finished "Bible In Depth" It was very challenging but at the same time I never felt intimidated by the study. The group as a whole became very close as this year was extremely challenging for all of us on a personal and spiritual level. Kerygma's course design allowed us to combine the study of the Bible with our own inter-personal relationships. We became a very close, dedicated group. Thank you Kerygma. Thanks be to God.

I haven't taken any of your courses, but the "Hallelujah...The Bible and Handel's Messiah" was just recommended to me. I see also that there is another musically-inspired study, "Sowing Tears, Reaping Joy ... The Bible and Brahms's Requiem." I am delighted that such studies exist. I hope to use them at my church! Keep up the great work! Craig Collins, Director of Music Ministry, Mt. Zion United Methodist Church

I have been using Kerygma material for approximately 10 years. I have enjoyed every course I have taught because the material is very good, easy to work with and stimulating . I am appreciative of the new coursed that continue to be available. I know that I have learned from each of the courses as I have prepared the lessons, and then participated with the students in the material. I highly recommend the Kerygma Program and its various courses. Feel free to contact me a c1umcjt@netsync.net with questions or comments

We found Luke to be stimulating and are now ready to tackle Job.   Charles B. Prewitt, D. Min.

I have taken many Kerygma classes and enjoyed them all. I am about to start another, " The Commandments" by Patricia Dutcher-Walls.

I am currently in a Kerygma class. After completing just the Old Testament, I have an entirely new relationship with God. I can't wait for the New Testament, which starts next week.

Shalom was a deep and enriching experience for our people.  Keep up the good work."

"This is excellent curriculum!  The lesson plans are well organized and easy to use  The options offered have been good and work well.  Many thanks for producing a curriculum with sound theology, competent Biblical scholarship, and excellent educational theory and practice."

Kerygma has been the best thing that I have done for myself in a very long time. I have been both a student and a leader and found both to be so rewarding. To pick my favorite would be unfair because all have been meaningful and just what I needed at that particular time in my life. I look forward to new studies!  God bless, Susan Prosser, First Presbyterian Church of Jonesboro (Georgia)

I taught Kerygma: the Bible in Depth a couple of times, a few years ago. I am going to teach it again this fall and I'm really excited about it! It's a great course. Sue Roe All Saints' Episcopal Church Long Beach, CA

"Interpretation is a must.  It's the best material I've ever used."

Our three groups with 92 people, have finished Kerygma The Bible in Depth.   Many are saying that it is the best thing that has been done in our church in decades.  As the leader, I found the lessons clear, and the Leader's Guide most helpful in preparing interesting lessons."

At Abington Presbyterian Church in Abington, PA, we have been using the Kerygma series for 5 years or so now, and have been very pleased with the 7 books we have done thus far. We did try another series at one point, but found it to be too superficial for our Bible study class. We have also developed a few lessons of our own, when the class wanted to explore a direction for which we could not find a specific curriculum (eg. This past winter we explored part of the Apocrypha, the books of 1st & 2nd Maccabees, which, lacking the guided curriculum Kerygma provides, required a tremendous effort on the parts of 2 of our leaders). We are looking forward to our next Kerygma course, and are now trying to decide our course for the Fall. Keep up the great work!

"After graduating two Kerygma classes, we regard it as methodologically and theologically the best in-depth Bible study presently available."

With almost 300 Kerygma graduates, we can't believe the difference in our church. Worship is more vibrant, congregational life more energized! Kerygma is a main part of our program!  Rev. Tom Haley; Lee's Summit Christian Church; Lee's Summit, MO

Now in our 2nd year, 20% of our adults have been engaged in Kerygma Foundation Courses. Our goal is at least 50% in the next few years.

Kerygma's ADULT EDUCATION IDEA BOOK was very helpful in getting our DISCOVERING THE BIBLE class going. We followed the steps suggested and found the promotional ideas especially useful. We now have over 140 persons enrolled!

I have been taking a course on The Bible in Depth with about 15 members of my church. We are lead by our Rector. It has taken us 2 years to work our way through the program and we will have completed it in May. I have thoroughly enjoyed this study. I had read bits and pieces of Scripture before, but had never really read the Bible. This class is what keeps me going to church! Our group is looking forward to our next course of study. A side benefit of this bible study has been that I have met people who are now my friends.

I have taught at least 3 courses before I retired as a pastor in '94. I plan to teach Interpretation again if the price of the student book isn't too high for my students. I was in my last church for 21 years. I taught the basic Kerygma Bible Program twice. The first time I had 46 students and the class lasted a year and a half.

I am currently in a Kerygma class. After completing just the Old Testament, I have an entirely new relationship with God. I can't wait for the New Testament, which starts next week.

I have just started, with THE TEN COMMANDMENTS FOR A BLESSED LIFE. At my church, for Lenten Bible Study and the book seems great, so far and I'm sure it will be. God Bless, please send any FREE information, to this address, more than on the computer Thank You! Marilyn Basford 18 Balzac Court Tonawanda, N.Y. 14150

I have taken the 32 week course, Discovering the Bible and found it to be extremely well presented. This was 2 years ago. Last summer I facilitated the course on the Parables as a part of the Daughter's of the King ministry. This summer we will be studying the Psalms.  Ruby Grosso, St. John's Episcopal Church, Chula Vista, California

I have been teaching Kerygma Bible courses here at St. John's Episcopal Church in Carlisle, PA for over 8 years. It has been a very well received program and enriched our spiritual lives. thank you! The Rev Ann Whitesel
