John C. Purdy is a graduate of
the College of Wooster (B.A.) and Princeton Theological Seminary
(M.Div.) He also spent a year of study in Basel, Switzerland.
Following seminary, Mr. Purdy was a pastor in Wisconsin for twelve
years. For the next twenty-six years he was Curriculum Editor for
the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). He passed away in 2007 at the age
of 81.
He is the author of Parables at Work (Westminster
Press. 1985) and Returning God's Call: the Challenge of
Christian Living (Westminster Press, 1989) and God
with a Human Face (Westminster/John Knox, 1993).
