Adult Bible Studies with a Difference

Planning

In the Kerygma Program,
"leader" is preferred to teacher ...
The leader being a learner among learners.

Kerygma currently offers 35 courses of study: foundational courses for in-depth study of the Bible whole, and shorter studies focusing on a particular theme, topic, or book of the Bible. Each course offers a Resource Book and a Leader’s Guide.

The Resource Book is for all participants including the leader(s). The Resource Book is written by a scholar in a "reader-friendly" style and is used along with the Bible.

The Leader’s Guide is written by an educator to unpack the Resource Book’s content into winning strategies for lively, interactive sessions. Our Leader’s Guides suggest a rich variety of learning strategies and offer multiple options for session planning. Leaders can be clergy, educators or lay persons.

Our most recent Leader’s Guides are offered on CD-ROM. Leaders will appreciate being able to use their computer to copy and paste to create a customized lesson plan from the many activity choices suggested. We will be offering the CD-ROM format on many of our older studies in the near future. Print out available upon request.

Slide Presentations with maps, prayers, activities and related illustrations for lesson planning enhancements are included on many of the CD-ROMs.

A DVD for in-class use featuring "Meet the Author" video segments and/or lesson aids may be included as a second disk.
